Indonesian search and rescue agencies are hunting for a passenger plane that went missing in bad weather over the remote eastern Papua region, with 54 people on board. The Trigana plane, flight number TG267, is said to have lost contact 33 minutes after taking off from Jayapura's Sentani airport, in Indonesia's easternmost region, Papua. It disappeared en route to Oksibil, located to the south of Jayapura city. The domestic flight should usually take 45 minutes but the plane never reached its destinations. The search efforts have been hindered by bad weather over the mountainous region, and suspended until the morning.
